About KPVFC:

 

The King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company is a 100% volunteer fire and heavy rescue company located in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, approximately 15 miles from center city Philadelphia. KPVFC has faithful served the Upper Merion Community since 1950; operating out of 2 stations with 10 pieces of apparatus and running approximately 700 calls annually.   The fire company provides the following operations: fire suppression, ladder,  heavy rescue, hazardous materials, wildland and fire police. 

KPVFC first due response area is a very diverse 15 square mile region, which includes residential, agricultural, and a heavy industrial /commercial area with a residential population of approximately 28,000 people; however, the daytime commercial population exceeds 250,000 people due to commuters who both work and visit several large shopping plazas in the township.  KPVFC also responds to incidents on the surrounding major roadways including I-76, I-276, US-202 and Rt 422; and also protects the King of Prussia Mall, the Valley Forge Convention Center and Valley Forge National Park.

The King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company is also an international accredited fire department through the Center of Public Safety Excellence and is the only volunteer fire department to receive such recognition.  KPVFC is also recognized by the PA Department of Health as an Advanced Rescue Company and by Office of the State Fire Commissioner for meeting national training standards.
